EuroIA 2006 #3

So, das war's. Der Euro IA Sumit 2006 ist vorbei. Am letzten Tag standen noch einige interessante Vorträge auf'm Programm. Besonders gut fand ich die closing keynote von Steven Pemberton. Ich muss zugeben, daß er mir bis dahin gänzlich unbekannt war (ah, well).

Steven Pemberton is a senior researcher at the CWI, Amsterdam, the Dutch national research institute for mathematics and computer science. He has been involved with the Web from the beginning, organising two workshops at the first WWW conference in 1994, and chairing the first Style Sheets Workshop in 1995. He is chair of the HTML and FormsWorking Groups, and co-author of amongst others HTML, CSS, XHTML and XForms.

Obwohl sein Vortrag recht oberflächlich war, frage ich mich dennoch ob er für andere Teilnehmer wirklich nachvollziehbar war. Schließ bestand das Publikum eher aus IAs, Usability Consultants, diversen Designern und ein paar Marketing Menschen. Also nur wenige coder.

Überhaupt war die teilnehmende Menge eine bunte Mischung aus diversen Disziplinen. Ich finde das sehr interessant, es zeigt aber auch, dass die europäische IA-Szene noch in einer Phase der Selbstfindung ist.

Nächstes Jahr geht es nach Barcelona. Ah, La Rambla, wir kommen. Das wird ein Fest!
