Internationalisation and Usability
Als ich neulich auf (im) UI Garden war (spazieren ging), bin ich auf diesen Artikel gestoßen: Culture, Internationalisation and Usability - I. In dem Artikel geht es um eine kürzlich abgeschlossene Studie die sich mit Länder-spezifischen Unterschieden in Usability-Methoden befasste. Untersucht wurden UK, Deutschland und China.
Three focus groups were conducted in order to obtain insights into the usability practice of each country. While the data gathered are not necessarily representative of the entire population of usability professionals for each country, the results provide good indication of the usability knowledge shared and used in each of the studied national markets.
Interessanter Weise wurde durch die Delphi Methode versucht aus den Fokusgruppen brauchbare Infos zu destilieren. Ich habe neulich ein wenig zu Delphi gebloggt: Delphi Card Sorting. Ich habe Delphi selbst noch nie angewendet - hört sich aber sehr interessant an.
Auch wenn man sich für den chinesischen Markt nicht interessiert, so werden doch gängige Methoden im UE Prozess kurz angerissen: Product Definition > Requirement Analysis > Evaluation > Development > Deployment. Die zweite Hälfte des Artikels ist recht interessant.
